We Hire Often!

Compass 2 Campus is constantly on the lookout for new employees and hires on regular basis as students graduate quarterly.

Our program focuses on four core competencies: Communication, Leadership, Equity and Justice.

The two position types below showcase some of the skills we are looking for.

Lead Mentor Positions

Lead Mentors are students who have already taken the introductory course with C2C and want to work with both our mentees and mentors. This paid position is offered to both non-work study and work-study WWU students who wish to spend 10-19 hours a week working with 5th-12th graders and fellow WWU students.

  • Collaborating with on–site school principals, counselors, and/or teachers to identify and schedule students needing tutoring and/or mentoring assistance.
  • Assisting in scheduling WWU students for their field placement experiences; monitoring their work with students; keeping records of their participation.
  • Collecting attendance and grade improvement data as directed by principals, counselors and the program director.
  • Assisting WWU students assigned to schools with questions, issues of concern, placement, student issues, etc.
  • Keeping the Program Director informed regarding problems, issues of concern, etc.
  • Participating in weekly staff meetings and other program events.

Program Support Positions

Compass 2 Campus Program Support positions assist with the day-to-day administrative projects, recruitment and outreach for the Compass 2 Campus Program. These positions will be for WWU students who wish to spend 8-19 hours per week working to support the Compass 2 Campus program in administrative capacities. Students selected for these positions will be interfacing with students, WWU personnel and the community.

Lead Mentor
