Mentor Classes
Course Overview
Compass 2 Campus (C2C) has a 3 and 5 credit introductory course students must enroll in to become a mentor. Our 3 credit course is titled C2C 201, and is offered as an elective. The 5 credit course is called C2C 203 and qualifies the General University Requirement (GUR) for the BCGM section.
After completion of either of our introductory courses students can enroll in four continuing courses called C2C 202 for credit and continue expanding their experience and learning initiated in the introductory course. Each of the four continuing courses has its own curriculum.
Any student attending Western Washington University (WWU) can take these courses. Options are available at Whatcom Community College (WCC) as well.

This mentoring program grants me the opportunity to get into classrooms and work with kids
"I am hoping to become either a Life Skills or General Education Science teacher and this mentoring program grants me the opportunity to get into classrooms and work in with kids. I want to build up my experience and skills as well as figure out what exactly it is I want to teach. Not only will this program help me to gain the experience I am looking for but I will be able to mentor in title 1 schools and work to help kids get the support they need through their education."
